Hearing Heart

God looked down and saw you there
Looking up toward Heaven.
"I'll give a gift not many share"
He sent Angels, there were seven.
With blessings from above you'll find
Your heart will know the words
They belong to God, they're signed
And songs will come from birds.
God told you "There are many lost
And you will go and say,
I am here at all cost...
I'll listen and I'll pray"
Your mouth is filled with words of love,
Your ears will hear their fear
But God will send you like a dove
To fly your heart till clear.
God chose you and we are blessed
Your heart will pave the way
For us who want to be God's guest
When Christ returns that day.

My Little Girl

Oh to see you smile and glow
Brought tears to my eyes you see
Having you and watching you grow
Fulfilled my every dream
The fun we had are too many to count
Will always be dear to my heart
Tis not for sale for any amount
We are meant never to part.
Bouncing blondie, rosy cheeks, laughter,
Gave me a new meaning to life
From now until here and ever after
My heart is filled with delight.

My Son

So small and silent, strong and tall
You scaled the highest wall of all
So much pleasure you have brought
Your love for me devotion taught
I watched you grow into a man
For you there was a meaningful plan
Patience makes our lives complete
With that we overcome defeat
But always with me you will be
My heart is yours...you hold the key.

There Was A Star

Down the lonely lane I walk
My hands tucked close inside
The winter night was cold & gray
I hung my head and cried.
No more was our Mother here
And Dad was not close by
Then our brother left too soon
Why did he have to die?
It makes no sense to me at all
Unfair is what it seems
Christmas time is family based
It's our traditional means.
"What was that?"...it's way up high
And shines a glowing light?
The star that guides you where you go
And leads you safe in night.
A ray came down and kissed my cheek
And told me of it's meaning...
It's not about me but "Christ the Child"
"It's His birthday!" the star said beaming.
Come and gather in His name
Without Him Christmas would not be!
Hallelujah! We have a King!
Go now, create your own memory.
Jut like those before you did
Honor them in prayer and song
And to Jesus forever and always be true!
Your heart will no longer long!
